R&D Integration Program Manager, Medical Affairs

Summary

Seeking an experienced Project Manager within our Program Management department to support the Medical Affairs (MA) organization. This person will provide department program management support to the Medical Affairs team by fostering proactive cross-functional integration and execution across our Medical Affairs goals, as well as ensuring clear and open communication across the team. In addition, this individual will work with other members of our Program Management Team to ensure Medical Affairs elements are fully integrated within program plans, budgets and other areas, including development and/or support with implementation and maintenance of enhanced tools and process.

Key areas of responsibility will include:

  • Collaborate with members of Medical Affairs Leadership Team (MALT) and Medical Affairs Sub-teams (MAST) to facilitate development and maintenance of medical affairs strategic and tactical plans across our portfolio
  • Support/Lead the development, maintenance, and enhancement of a new planning, tracking, and reporting system/tool for Medical Affairs activities (which include HEOR plans, field medical team planning, scientific communication plans, professional society engagement, external engagement, etc.)
  • Track and analyze medical affairs consolidated timelines to ensure seamless execution of deliverables
  • Collaborate with others in MA on the development and implementation of communication tools for MA
  • In collaboration with the medical lead, coordinate MAST meetings which includes scheduling meetings, agenda planning, and developing meeting summaries
  • Support the strategic planning efforts of Medical Affairs
  • Manage updates for external spend forecasts in collaboration with MA project leads and collaborate with outsourcing business partners for items including accrual support
  • We’re looking for an individual who excels in a matrixed-management/leadership environment, is organizationally savvy, has strong communication skills and enjoys working on the details without losing site of the larger organizational goals.

Minimum Education & Experience Preferences:

  • BS/MS in a scientific discipline, with 5-7 years of project management experience (relevant medical affairs experience and/or experience with marketed products is preferred)
  • Prior experience managing cross-functional teams with timeline management and budgetary responsibility
  • Expert knowledge of Smartsheet and MS Excel
  • Exceptional verbal/written communication, time/resource management, attention to detail, interpersonal and organization skills
